I’m feeling deeply touched and forever grateful for the unwavering support from AD:VENTURE and the wonderful people who have stood by me every step of the way.
Being featured in Yorkshire Businesswoman alongside such inspiring women is truly humbling.
A big thank you to AD:VENTURE’s Daneile Moore for lending an ear to my story.
Though it may just be me (and a few furry companions) in my makeshift office, I am buoyed by a handful of honorary team members, including Bruce McLeod and Janet Bebb.
Special recognition goes to my former colleagues in journalism, many now retired or sadly no longer with us, who shaped my path. I also owe a debt of gratitude to my former comrades in communications at West Yorkshire Police, and the support of Honley Business Association where I provide copywriting services.
Credit must go to John Steel Photography for capturing my journey. Your lens has rescued me from deleting countless selfies.
And I must not forget Dr Nicola Dann of Commercial Occupational Health Services (COHS) who saw something in me, took me under her wing and encouraged me to launch my freelance journey.
While my career has often focused on promoting others, being recognised in this way is both unexpected and deeply appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who believes in me.
