As 2024 ended, I couldn’t have been more thrilled to start 2025 on a high note – Sophie Seddon PR being named Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month for December.
Receiving this award felt like the perfect way to cap off an incredible year and set an exciting tone for the future.
I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who encouraged me to apply and to the judges who recognised my work. I feel truly humbled.
The past year has been nothing short of fabulous thanks to the amazing people I’ve met and worked with. They have reminded me why I love what I do.
From writing press releases that hit the headlines to creating website copy and blogs, I have developed tone of voice, key messages, and conducted extensive research for award submissions that have delivered results.
I’ve poured energy, passion, and dedication into every project because I find people and their stories fascinating.
But more than that, I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses discover their potential, stand out from the crowd, and connect with the right people.
Whether it’s giving a brand a voice, building credibility, or positioning a business as a leader in its field, my goal is always to make my clients known, trusted and remembered.

I’ve also loved being part of initiatives, including mentoring with Kirklees Council’s Thrive, joining Huddersfield University’s Huddersfield Health and Innovation Partnership (HHIP), and delivering content workshops and training with AD:VENTURE, Huddersfield BID, and Honley Business Association (HBA).
It’s been incredibly rewarding to support businesses, including those accessing funding from West Yorkshire Business Boost, to help them develop their communication skills and achieve their goals.
Seeing businesses thrive gives me the greatest satisfaction, whether supporting a client to secure funding, winning awards, or simply gaining the confidence to tell their story fuels me.
There’s a real sense of satisfaction in helping others thrive and seeing the positive impact it has on their business and confidence.
As I look ahead to 2025, I’m focused on building lasting relationships with like-minded businesses and staying true to my values of empathy and understanding, collaboration and connection, growth and creativity, authenticity and integrity, hope and inspiration.
I’m so grateful for the incredible network of people around me whose support continues to inspire and motivate me.
