Behind The Headlines, it’s Always the People

Public Relations isn’t just about sending out press releases. It’s about finding the spark, the moment or achievement that matters, and then bringing in the people, the vision and the passion behind it.

Working with Manor House Lindley has been a great reminder of that.

Their achievement in retaining three AA Rosettes gave us the newsworthy hook, but the passion of General Manager Mark Ayre, the creativity of Head Chef John Brewster, and their welcoming team brought it all together.

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of dining in The Lantern Room. The food was faultless, the atmosphere relaxed yet refined, but what stayed with me most was the people.

PR is, at its heart, about people and relationships.

Sitting among fellow diners in the beautifully refurbished Lantern Room, I could see it everywhere. In the way the team connected with guests, the harmony between the kitchen and dining room, and the restaurant’s role in the local community.

That focus on relationships is why I’m so delighted to be supporting Manor House Lindley. They’re a team of like-minded people who care deeply about what they do, and it shows.

The media coverage has been fantastic too, with features across local and regional outlets, including Yorkshire Food Guide. But the real win is always the story itself. The connection it builds and the way it lingers long after the headline.

For Manor House Lindley, that story is not just about exquisite food and beautiful surroundings. It’s about people, passion and values that make the whole experience unforgettable.

And as I left the Lantern Room, that’s exactly what struck me.

The food is world-class, but it’s the feeling that stays with you.
