They promised me I won’t have to sing. I promise you I won’t.

When I first heard about Ruddi’s Rockstars, I’ll be honest. I had one very important question: “Will I have to sing?”

Because if this was heading into full karaoke territory, I was out.

Thankfully, I’m reassured no singing is required.

But what is required? A generous heart, community spirit and businesses willing to step up and make a difference to support family life.

What is Ruddi’s Rockstars?

Ruddi’s Rockstars is to support families facing the unimaginable – childhood cancer – by funding much-needed respite holidays.

We’re talking about families who spend huge amounts of time in hospitals, dealing with stress, uncertainty, and the kind of challenges no family should have to face.

And sometimes, what they need most is something simple. Time away. Time to be together.

This is what the charity Ruddi’s Retreat is here for.

Why it Matters

Every year, Ruddi’s Retreat supports more than 400 families.

With five caravans – four in Filey and one in Blackpool – they give families the chance to step away from hospital life and create precious memories together.

Nothing extravagant. Just a fully equipped space to breathe, laugh and feel like a family again.

It’s Already Making a Noise

Ruddi’s Rockstars has already been featured in Huddersfield Hub, helping spread the word across the local community.

And with the official launch event happening on Wednesday (April 22), things are moving quickly.

Why Sponsor Now?

There’s an opportunity to get involved early. Paxman Scalp Cooling, Ryder and Dutton, and Summit Moor are among the first to sign.

247 Blinds has become a Ruddi’s Royalty Rockstar.

Sign up before the launch, and early supporters will be entered into Ruddi Café’s prize draw.

Viral TikTok Influencer Crazy Auntie Ann

TikTok personality, ‘Crazy Auntie Ann’, is set to rock up to support the Slaithwaite charity.

She’s helping to promote Ruddi’s Rockstars, and encouraging early sign-ups ahead of the event.

You can join by registering here.

The initiative is sponsored by Social Progress, Honley, and Ann is in fact the sister of Social Progress director, Janet Bebb.

How You Can Get Involved

From just £25 per month, you can help fund a family holiday.

  • Ruddi’s Rockstars (Business) – £300 per year – will fund a family holiday
  • Ruddi’s Roadies (Individuals) – £50 per year
  • Ruddi’s Royalty – £1,000 per year – will fund a Ruddi’s Retreat for 12 months

You’ll be part of something that brings light into some very difficult moments for families who need it most.

But no, you won’t be asked to sing (you’re welcome).
