What a crazy but rewarding week. My hand is aching from all the typing so I will keep this short and sweet.
It was lovely to help Sam Teale with the publicity he deserved for his outstanding accolade as the Yorkshire Choice Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2024.
If you know Sam, you know his dedication and hard work have earned him this well-deserved recognition. It’s an honour to have played a part in sharing his inspiring journey.
The press coverage was extensive and well received, featuring in prominent publications, including:
· MSN
It was also a pleasure to receive feedback from Mike Hall of MJH ArtStudio after I volunteered to write a press release for his voluntary work with Young Enterprise UK.
When Mike mentioned that his team from Huddersfield New College were runners-up in a national competition, I felt compelled to help give them the recognition they deserved. It reinforces the impact of effective PR.
I’ve also been busy planning with Janet Bebb of Social Progress for our upcoming content workshop for the Honley Business Association. It’s always a pleasure to work with such a supportive and talented individual in order to help local businesses thrive.
I enjoyed a wonderful meet-up with a former colleague from West Yorkshire Police, discussing old times and exploring new opportunities.
I had a fantastic brainstorming session with Alex Jones of The Origami Fox, Katie Walden Illustration and Nick Woodhead of NWDI. I’m thrilled about our upcoming project together, combining our creative strengths to produce something truly special.
I am thrilled to confirm that a client has received funding through West Yorkshire Business Boost. This will support them as they grow their business through strategic communications. Thank you James Was of West Yorkshire Business Boost for all your support.
The latter part of my week has involved me deeply in preparing an awards submission with a tight deadline.
Specialising in creating compelling narratives under tight deadlines is where my experience as a former journalist and police communications officer comes in.
As I scrolled through my photos, I came across this image that instantly brought a smile to my face. I’m still buzzing after scouring fields one evening for a missing (and rather expensive) horseshoe, which, I’m thrilled to say, I did recover.
Here’s to hoping this lucky horseshoe brings the right fortune to our award submission endeavours.
